This PR focuses on improving documentation and addressing a few inconsistencies.
• Updated CI version references in CONTRIBUTING.md to reflect the current setup
• Added an alternative using pyenv for better environment management
• Refined and simplified CONTRIBUTING.md and LINUX_SETUP.md to make them easier to follow
• Merged recent changes from the malariagen:master branch to keep everything in sync
