As discussed on Reddit - appreciate you submitting the PR. Unfortunately I really don't have time to try to work out if a (complete) refactor (while clearly better code) has introduced another change in workflow which is masking the issue, or if your additional commands are actually helping. I asked ChatGPT to check if that had happened but it also gave up.

The script has previously been given to and I think may be used by Microsoft to try to reproduce the issue, so a complete refactor at this point, while better practice, will probably just muddy the waters. My goal with the script was to make it simple, step by step, so that even a non-coder can follow what I am trying to do.

However if you send me another PR with just the relevant bits added into the current workflow, that would be great, and I'll happily test it to see if it changes anything.

Updated parity implementation that now consistently passes tests.

Upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 and after numerous runs, only once did the repair event log messages not show up.
