Project Abstract
W3CP Core delivers a Polkadot-anchored device identity verification layer for real-world EV charging and energy infrastructure. It enables physical devices (e.g. charge points) to establish verified backend connections without pre-registration or static allowlists, by proving ownership of an on-chain decentralized identity.
The project provides an open-source reference identity sidecar and verification flow that relies on deterministic on-chain state queries rather than event indexing, making decentralized identity practical for long-lived physical infrastructure. The work focuses exclusively on the Polkadot identity integration layer and is designed to be reused across IoT, DePIN, and energy systems.
