Since JSON::XS 4 this is permitted, and this patch will fix the complete test failures since then.

I have tested this pull request on the following platform/Perl-version combinations, in each case with JSON::XS version 4 installed. All tests PASS.

PASSES on Linux (with JSON::XS 4)
5.40.1
5.30.3
5.38.2

PASSES on FreeBSD-14 (with JSON::XS 4)
5.38.0
