> Cell selection requires the [GridSelectionSettings.Mode](https://help.syncfusion.com/cr/blazor/Syncfusion.Blazor.Grids.GridSelectionSettings.html#Syncfusion_Blazor_Grids_GridSelectionSettings_Mode) to be set to **Cell** or **Both**, and the [GridSelectionSettings.Type](https://help.syncfusion.com/cr/blazor/Syncfusion.Blazor.Grids.GridSelectionSettings.html#Syncfusion_Blazor_Grids_GridSelectionSettings_Type) to be set to **Multiple**.

### Range of Cell selection
Comment thread
Naveen-Palanivel marked this conversation as resolved.

To select a range of cells in the Syncfusion® Blazor DataGrid enables selection of a continuous set of cells within the grid. This feature is useful for performing actions on multiple cells simultaneously or focusing on a specific range of data.

To achieve a range of cell selection, use the [SelectCellsByRangeAsync](https://help.syncfusion.com/cr/blazor/Syncfusion.Blazor.Grids.SfGrid-1.html#Syncfusion_Blazor_Grids_SfGrid_1_SelectCellsByRangeAsync_System_ValueTuple_System_Int32_System_Int32__System_Nullable_System_ValueTuple_System_Int32_System_Int32___) method. It selects a range of cells starting from the specified start index and ending at the specified end index.
