CONTRIBUTING.md tells developers to run `yarn test` before submitting PRs, but the format check (ci:format) was only run in CI as a separate step. This caused surprise CI failures when formatting issues weren't caught locally. Now `yarn test` includes the format check, matching what CI validates.
