A Qt6 C++ application for creating custom wallpapers by cropping and scaling images to specific resolutions.

- C++17 compatible compiler
- Linux/Unix system (tested on Linux, but should work on the BSDs)
For Linux and FreeBSD systems, use the provided installation script:
./install.shThis script will:
- Check for required dependencies
- Build the application
- Install it system-wide
- Update desktop database and icon cache
- Make it available in your desktop environment's application menu
If you prefer to build manually:

Install dependencies:
- compile toolchain
- qt6 dev packages
- cmake

Build and install:
mkdir build cd build cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release make -j$(nproc) sudo make install

Update desktop database (optional):
sudo update-desktop-database /usr/local/share/applications sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f -t /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor
After installation, you can:
- Run from command line:
WallpaperMaker - Find it in your desktop environment's application menu under "Graphics"
- Right-click on image files to open them with WallpaperMaker
To remove WallpaperMaker:
cd build
sudo make uninstall-
Load an image:
- Drag and drop an image file into the application, or
- Use File → Open Image... (Ctrl+O)

Select target resolution:
- Choose from the Resolution dropdown
- The white crop frame shows the target aspect ratio

Position the image:
- Pan: Click and drag to move the image
- Zoom: Use mouse wheel to zoom in/out
- The crop frame stays fixed while the image moves underneath

Adjust the image (optional):
- Use Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation sliders
- Changes are applied in real-time

Choose output format:
- Select PNG, JPEG, BMP, or TIFF
- For JPEG, adjust quality with the slider

Save the wallpaper:
- Click Save Wallpaper or use Ctrl+S
- The file is saved with automatic resolution suffix
