In version 1, we focused on getting the basics working. In version 2, we corrected course and focused on fleshing out the geometry library with several new mesh types and geometric contsructions. For version 3, we focus on nonlinear solvers for multi-scale problems. This is a tough one, and a very open area of research (though, to be fair, so is geometry).
