Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS") carefully before using the Gmail SLA Monitor Chrome Extension ("Extension," "Service") operated by pdoorlocker ("us", "we", or "our").
By installing, accessing, or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
- The Service
The Gmail SLA Monitor Extension is a productivity tool designed for the Google Chrome browser that integrates with the Gmail web interface. Its primary function is to:
Display a Service Level Agreement (SLA) status label next to email threads in the Gmail inbox.
Calculate the time elapsed since the last incoming message in a thread.
Allow users to define a custom SLA time limit (in hours) using the Extension's popup.
The Service requires certain permissions to access and analyze your Gmail data (specifically, read-only access to messages and user profile information) to function correctly.
- Privacy Policy & Data Usage
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
Required Permissions: The Extension requires gmail.readonly and userinfo.email scopes to fetch thread details, message dates, and identify the user's own email address to determine if a response is due.
Storage: The Extension uses your browser's local storage and Chrome's sync storage to temporarily cache authentication tokens and persistently store your custom SLA time setting.
Data Transmission: The Extension communicates directly with Google's Gmail API servers using your granted access token to retrieve the necessary message and thread data. We do not transfer or store your email content, thread details, or personal data on our own external servers.
- License to Use the Extension
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Extension solely for your personal or internal business use.
- User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service in any way that:
Violates any law or regulation.
Interferes with, disrupts, or creates an undue burden on the Service or the networks or services connected to the Service.
Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the Service.
Modifies, adapts, translates, reverse engineers, decompiles, or disassembles any portion of the Extension.
Uses automated means, including spiders, robots, crawlers, or data mining tools, to download, monitor, or use data from the Service.
- Disclaimer of Warranty
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Service, or the accuracy of the SLA calculations.
The SLA labels and time calculations provided by the Extension are for informational and planning purposes only and should not be relied upon as definitive proof of any service level agreement or breach thereof. The calculation logic (which excludes weekends/non-business hours) is based on the logic implemented in the Extension and may not perfectly align with any formal, external SLA definition you may have.
- Limitation of Liability
In no event shall pdoorlocker, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any errors or inaccuracies in the SLA calculations provided by the Extension; (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data or transmissions, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.
- Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
