Description

This fix is a part of work to improve compatibility with the latest version of LC Wallet: #2956.

The PR updates the credential UUID format to URN-compatible when building the "Achievement" body of the Open Badge 3.0 credential.

Supporting information

LC Wallet displays "Invalid Signature" warning when issuing a new credential from the Open edX.
The issue is reproduced starting with version 2.1.0 of the LC Wallet. At the time, verification algorithm was updated and extracted into the separate library verifier-core.

Testing instructions

  • Either use sandbox installation with verifiable credentials setup https://lms.gliglu.rocks or set up and configure verifiable credentials, including the issuance entity and issuer key.
  • For a user with an issued course or program certificate, go to the Verifiable Credentials section in Learner Record MFE.
  • On the selected certificate, click the Issue button and Scan QR code with the LC Wallet App.
  • Check verification status in the LC Wallet app.
