Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Python ≥ 3.10
  • Node.js ≥ 18
  • PostgreSQL (local or cloud)
  • Docker (optional, for containerized deployment)

Installation

# Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/Bavan23/OceanPulse.git
cd OceanPulse

# Install frontend
cd frontend
npm install
npm run dev

# Install backend
cd ../backend
pip install -r requirements.txt
uvicorn main:app --reload

OceanPulse is an AI-powered platform for real-time ocean hazard monitoring. It combines crowdsourced, location-tagged reports with social media analytics to detect and classify marine risks. Using multilingual NLP, geospatial analysis, and ML-based verification, the system generates reliable alerts and visual hazard hotspots.
