About Me

Hi, I’m Jon Taylor - a Software Engineer at The Craneware Group, building scalable applications in the medical and insurance space.
I work mainly with C# .NET, JavaScript, MS SQL, and Azure, with a focus on performance and reliability.

Experience

Entelect

  • De Beers Diamonds - Improved legacy sales planning systems and introduced predictive features for diamond demand. Implemented RabbitMQ for data consistency and built real-time React interfaces with SignalR.
  • Standard Bank - Led front-end development for a greenfield Angular + TypeScript project, setting the foundation for a scalable enterprise platform.

Projects

  • Tabstronaut - VS Code extension for tab management. Placed 4th in the Entelect Tech Accelerator competition.
  • LDPC Deep Learning Project - Built a deep learning model to decode LDPC codes, achieving significant improvements in error rates.

Outside of Work
