We are javaBin, Norway's Java User Group and one of the country's largest developer communities. Since 2001, we have been a volunteer-run, non-profit organization connecting Java developers across Norway. We were honored with the Duke's Choice Award in 2019.
With around 4,000 members and over 70 active volunteers ("heroes"), we run monthly meetups in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Tromsø, Vestfold, Sogn, and Sørlandet.
Every September, we organize JavaZone at Oslo Spektrum — one of the world's largest community-driven developer conferences. With ~3,600 attendees, ~200 speakers, and ~50 partners, JavaZone is the highlight of the Norwegian developer calendar. All talks are published on our YouTube channel.

- Become a hero — Attend meetups, volunteer at JavaZone, and get nominated by existing heroes. Heroes help run everything from local meetups to the conference itself.
