I would even suggest using a submenu of Plugins here: it illustrates the syntax for submenus, and it avoids cluttering the (overcrowded) Plugins menu even more.

Hi @ctrueden,
I'd like to suggest changing the default location of that example plugin / template. This could prevent some confusion for first-time plugin developers. See a maybe related discussion here in the forum.
Furthermore, if you would like to get rid of some repositories you maintain: I'm offering to take this one here over.
