Allow for abstract Unix sockets to work

1. In host.c, allow for connect() to succeed for an abstract Unix socket
2. In run.sh, adjust the abstract Unix socket name
3. In README.md, fixing some run.sh bash issues
4. update .gitignore to not check in built artifacts
