Tremorhub seems to be a magnite domain as they say on their oficial page:

As described in our Cookie Platform Policy, our advertising technology operates by using text files called “cookies” that are placed on your device. Some of these cookies include a Digital Identifier. To locate the Digital Identifiers Magnite may process, you can search through your cookies for the cookies named:

“khaos” and “ruid” (set from the rubiconproject.com domain);
“tvid”(set from the tremorhub.com domain);
“ssid” and “sst” (set from the cdn.springserve.com domain)
“ccuid” and “ccsid” (set from the nai-edge.ccgateway.net domain)
“fsk_retargeting”(set from the freeskreen.com domain).

(source: https://www.magnite.com/legal/user-choice-portal/)

I also added the aforementioned domains that appear in their documentation

There's a domain overlap between rubicon and slimcutmedia — freeskreen.com is listed in both.
Freeskreen was acquired by Rubicon Project (now Magnite) in 2018, so the domain belongs under rubicon. However, I'm not sure whether the slimcutmedia entry should be updated, archived, or if freeskreen.com should simply be removed from it.

I can later have a look if there are clashes to be resolve.

But if you find some sources to back it up, it would be very helpful. On a first glance, it is not obvious to me why the domains belong to Rubicon/Magnite. I'm hesitant to make change without having something to point to (unless the domain ownership is trivial, e.g. analytics.tiktok.com belonging to TikTok).

Also they claim they own the domain in their own webpage, in how to locate your identifiers they say "“fsk_retargeting”(set from the freeskreen.com domain)." (source: https://www.magnite.com/legal/user-choice-portal/). Either way I would be happy to delete that domain from the pull request and let you do whatever changes you consider necessary.

Thanks, that helped.

I made the first step: SlimMedia is archived now (173a077).

("SlimMedia -> Telaria" and "Telaria + Rubicon Project = Magnite". Indeed, everything is now directly or indirectly operated by the Magnite.)

Have to look into the domains now to help with the next step.

Regarding SpringServe, we have this existing entry:
https://github.com/ghostery/trackerdb/blob/main/db/patterns/springserve.eno

cdn.springserve.com will be covered by that. So, that should be fine. But again, SpringServe is now part of Magnite (will create a change to also archive that).

freeskreen.com is part of SlimCutMedia (which we have now moved to the Magnite organization). That should be good.

Still open:

nai-edge.ccgateway.net remains and could be part of Mediavine:
https://github.com/ghostery/trackerdb/blob/main/db/patterns/mediavine_exchange.eno#L8

How Mediavine and Magnite are related, is currently not clear to me. (Needs to be double-checked, but looks like Mediavine is still independent but has a strategic partnership.)

SpringServe is now archived (f77c482). I left the SpringServe pattern for now, even though I'm not sure if it is still active. springserve.com redirects to https://www.magnite.com/ now.

nai-edge.ccgateway.net remains and could be part of Mediavine:
https://github.com/ghostery/trackerdb/blob/main/db/patterns/mediavine_exchange.eno#L8

How Mediavine and Magnite are related, is currently not clear to me. (Needs to be double-checked, but looks like Mediavine is still independent but has a strategic partnership.)

This still needs some research. But I think, the domains in the patterns were correct, as far as I can tell. The confusing part was that all these companies have been acquired by Magnite (the organization). With the cleanups now, it should be better already.

Seems like you are right and Magnite and spring media have a strategic partnership.

Mediavine is working with Magnite, the largest independent sell-side advertising platform, to develop and scale the company’s solution. Putting all pieces together, I think we updated it now and have the domains properly mapped.

I think, we can also close the PR and if needed start something new. But I see only this domain left: nai-edge.ccgateway.net, but it is a tricky one. I looked in our raw data, but could not find any traffic for it. For that reason, I would ignore it for now unless we have an example website that uses it.

Ok, nice. Personally I have only found the domain nai-edge.ccgateway.net in data disclosure jsons in requests for the CMP. I found it in pages like apnews.com or genius.com, it appears such as this URL (https://cdn.cookielaw.org/vendorlist/iab2V2Data.json) containing this:
