Everything is fine, but just so you know, you have violated the URL in past releases. They relied on one branch, now these changes won't be there.

CodeIgniter 4.2.5 release.

See the changelog: https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgniter4/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.md

The URL must be https://github.com/codeigniter4/CodeIgniter4/blob/develop/changelogs/CHANGELOG_4.2.md

I did not start the splitting before. So, this was an unintended consequence.

Is there a way to automate updating the links?

I don't know, but the releases can be edited by the owners.

This seems like a detail. We can add a list of all previous changelogs in the main file later.

Yes, we can automatically add links to the history.

There are a couple of steps to change the release: https://github.com/marketplace?query=edit+release&type=actions

We always link to the develop branch, so we don't have to change anything for a release - this can be done later.
