Rather than applying an invisible "padding" to `Separator` elements, measure them and adjust their hit target only if it's too small to be interacted with easily. [Apple interface guidelines](https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/accessibility) suggest 20pt (27) on desktops and 28pt (37px) for touch devices, so for a starting point that's what I've implemented here as a starting point. Resolves #611
