This is a companion PR to bytecodealliance/wasm-tools#2512 which is itself also an accompanying PR for WebAssembly/component-model#646. Like with wasm-tools a number of updates were needed in this repository, but it's effectively all handwritten tests that should have already been updated in theory but didn't need to be.
