OCT Feature Mapper is a Python tool for annotating, mapping, visualising, and exporting Heidelberg DICOM retinal optical coherence tomography image features. This downloadable and locally run program vastly expands on the capabilities of the standard Heyex software.

v1.9 - 27/05/2026 - added a semi-automated co-registration routine using vessel landmarking
v1.7 - 20/05/2026 - added extra co-registration functionality, improved GUI and ability to save progress and edit later (by loading .json file)
v1.5 - 19/05/2026 - better MAC support and added zoom function
v1.4 - 13/05/2026 - added further co-registration functionality and MAC version app
v1.2 - 27/04/2026 - added ability to transfer enface markings back to bscans
v1.0 - 22/04/2026 - improved GUI, ability to add point and line features directly on the enface image. Added polygon centroid measurements and anatomical fovea marking so distance to feature (e.g. eccentric fixation or atrophic region or centre of EZ) position and distance can be determined.
v0.93 - 07/04/2026 - updated to add live move position in enface view, new GUI and experimentation with semi-automatic co-registration of multimodal imaging after features marked on enface view.
Takes Heidelberg DICOM export files and metadata and opens a heyex style viewer allowing for bscan to enface marking with correct pixel to mm conversions. Several regions can be separately marked allowing for EZ area mapping, multiple atrophy region mapping, detailed blood vessel mapping etc... Also have included some image enhancement features to aid feature selection in cases of difficult to see features.
