What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
Uploading my code for Production Assignment 1.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
Loading data from environment variables, manipulating Dask dataframes, and translating them to Pandas dataframes for more optimized manipulation (where required).
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
For the hi_lo_range, I wanted to create a column to dd_feat without creating the hi_lo_range column as it felt like an intermediate step which would negatively impact runtime in a larger, more complex dataset.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
I had challenges successfully loading some of the environment variables due to issues with my environment. I had to restart the kernel a couple of times to properly load all data and import Dask.
How were these changes tested?
Multiple iterations until Python stopped returning errors.
A reference to a related issue in your repository (if applicable)
I was catching up on class material and nearly uploaded all the changes across files into this repository, and had to iterate on what was added to the commit queue to be only the assignment.
