Vext Labs

Vext Labs builds Theron, the AI entity with receipts.

Theron is not a chatbot or a model wrapper. It is an entity: a council of domain specialists, a fleet of worker agents, a shared workspace, and a signed-receipt substrate that turns every agent action into something you can verify, audit, and trust.

The company is Vext Labs. The product is Theron. The app is at theron.tryvext.com.

Three pillars

Theron is built on three pillars. Two are proprietary. One is open.

Theron — the entity. A council of specialist minds over a single shared substrate, with a workspace that remembers, agents that act, and verifiers that close the loop on quality. Available at theron.tryvext.com.

Hive — the agent fleet. Hundreds of curated worker agents organized into industry packs, orchestrated by the council, composed on demand. Hive is Vext-hosted.

Stoa — the open substrate. Every agent action emits a signed receipt. Every SaaS integration speaks one wire format. The spec is CC-BY-4.0, the runtime is Apache-2.0, the long-term home is a neutral foundation. Spec at github.com/Vext-Labs-Inc/stoa.

Open source

Vext Labs ships open source where the substrate benefits from it. The flagship entity stays closed; the substrate is shared.

  • theron-agent-sdk — Build agents with a council, deterministic verifier kernels, and Stoa-signed integrations. Any model, any provider. MIT.
  • stoa — The open substrate for agent-readable SaaS. Signed receipts, federated capability registry, conformance suite. Spec CC-BY-4.0, runtime Apache-2.0.
  • vext-pentest-7b — Open-source 7B language model for autonomous penetration testing. Parses 25+ security tools, plans attacks, classifies vulnerabilities, and generates remediation.
  • vext-shield — AI-native security skill suite. Detects prompt injection, semantic worms, cognitive rootkits, and other threats traditional scanners miss.
  • sentry-benchmarks — Audited benchmark results for the Sentry model family. Full raw responses, test cases, and SHA256 receipts on every score.

Retired Theron base models and LoRAs are released under Apache 2.0 on Cloudflare R2 and the Hugging Face Vext Labs org. The world gets one step below the flagship; we get faster feedback.
