Comparisons to other modpacks?

Although I am not a fan of comparisons, Re-Console has some key differences from something like Lite Legacy.

Re-Console and Lite Legacy are pretty similar modpacks, however they do have a few big differences. This doesn't mean either modpack is bad, however I would consider these if choosing between them. Re-Console is bundled with more QoL while Lite Legacy could be considered more streamlined, with a different idea of what Legacy Console would be if it never ended.

  • Adrenaline (what Re-Console is based upon and is in sync to) typically adopts more optimization mods, which may be faster than Lite Legacy in a few scenarios. This can depend on hardware configuration though, and should be manually tested by the user.

  • Re-Console does have multi-loader and multi-version support, while Lite Legacy does not. This can be beneficial in the case of wanting to play with something such as Biomes O' Plenty on Forge 1.20.1, where Re-Console would support that version and loader while Lite Legacy would not.

  • Re-Console has multiple resource packs which implement features such as the Tutorial Worlds, 2D beds, and more visual accuracy from LCE, while Lite Legacy may not have some of these.

Lite Legacy is only on Modrinth, whereas Re-Console is distributed on both CurseForge and Modrinth

Can I fork Re-Console?

Yes you can, as long as you abide by the terms of the GPL-3.0, and preferably give me credit somewhere. Re-Console comes with a lot of performance mods, QoL mods and LCE accuracy improvements, so it could be a better solution to fork than make your own.

Please do note that non-license abiding forks will be taken down! If you want to read up on the GPL 3, see this article
