Installation classique (mono-process)

🆕 Mode Multi-Process (Recommandé pour production)

Le nouveau système multi-process isole chaque channel dans son propre processus pour une meilleure stabilité :

Avantages du mode multi-process :

🔐 Mode Database (OAuth Tokens Chiffrés)

Compatibilité

Les deux modes peuvent coexister :

  • Mode YAML (défaut) : ./kissbot.sh start - tokens dans config.yaml
  • Mode Database : ./kissbot.sh start --use-db - tokens chiffrés en DB

Fichiers clés :

  • kissbot.db : Base de données SQLite (WAL mode)
  • .kissbot.key : Clé de chiffrement Fernet (⚠️ À SAUVEGARDER !)
  • scripts/migrate_yaml_to_db.py : Script de migration

⚠️ IMPORTANT : La clé .kissbot.key est nécessaire pour déchiffrer les tokens. Sans elle, vous perdez l'accès aux tokens !

🌐 EventSub Hub (v4.1.0) - Centralized WebSocket Manager

NOUVEAU : Architecture Hub pour gérer des centaines de bots avec 1 seul WebSocket Twitch !

Pourquoi EventSub Hub ?

Problème : Twitch limite à 3 WebSocket transports par application. Chaque bot en mode direct = 1 WebSocket.

Solution : Le Hub utilise 1 WebSocket pour toute l'application, multiplexant des centaines de subscriptions. Les bots communiquent via IPC (Unix sockets).

Résultat : Passez de 3 bots → ∞ bots (limité par vos ressources, pas par Twitch).

Bottlenecks: Rate limiting (2 req/s), SQLite locks (>50 bots), RAM (~30-50 MB/bot)

🔐 OAuth Token Auto-Refresh

NEW in v3.4.1: KissBot automatically refreshes expired tokens!

  • Automatic token refresh when access token expires (401)
  • Zero downtime - Refresh happens transparently during startup
  • Secure storage - Refresh token stored in .tio.tokens.json
  • No manual intervention - Bot continues without user action

How it works:

  1. Bot detects expired token (401 Unauthorized)
  2. Calls Twitch OAuth refresh endpoint automatically
  3. Saves new token to .tio.tokens.json
  4. Re-validates and continues startup
  5. ✅ Token valid for 4 hours

First-time setup: You still need to generate initial OAuth token once (see Step 2 above). After that, bot handles all refreshes automatically!

🔧 Troubleshooting

Bot doesn't receive messages

  • Check TwitchIO version: pip show twitchio (should be 2.7.0)
  • Verify OAuth token has oauth: prefix
  • Ensure channel name is lowercase

LLM doesn't respond

  • LM Studio running on port 1234?
  • Model loaded (llama-3.2-3b-instruct)?
  • Config llm.local_llm: true?
  • Check logs: tail -f logs/kissbot.log

Game lookup fails

  • RAWG API key valid? (rawg.io/apidocs)
  • Check API quota (5000 requests/month free)
  • Test manually: python -c "from backends.game_lookup import GameLookup; ..."

Stream detection (!gc) fails

  • Twitch client_id configured?
  • OAuth token has channel:read:stream_key scope?
  • Stream actually live? (Command shows "offline" when not streaming)
  • Test manually: Check logs for "Stream detection" errors

Mentions not working

  • Bot recognizes both @bot and bot formats
  • Rate limiting: 15s cooldown per user
  • LLM fallback: Local → OpenAI (check API keys)
