The character cards are meticulously crafted for compatibility with various AI-driven chat platforms, including SillyTavern, TavernAI, and the Oobabooga Text Generation WebUI.
This centralized repository ensures the comprehensive and straightforward distribution of all character data, especially for characters that utilize extended features not supported by all popular platforms. While many character cards adhere to the "Spec V2" format, some incorporate supplementary assets such as sprites, sound effects, and custom themes. Hosting them on GitHub guarantees that users can access the complete and intended character experience by using the new in-built installer script.
For an optimal user experience, it is highly recommended to utilize these character cards within the SillyTavern interface. This frontend offers advanced features that fully support the nuanced functionalities embedded in these characters, such as multiple and group-specific greetings.
While the character cards are broadly compatible with other frontends like TavernAI and the Oobabooga Text Generation WebUI, certain features, including detailed biography data or extra greeting sets, may not be fully accessible.
A selection of these characters is also available on Dracaerys' Character.ai profile, offering interactions within a 32,000-token context window. Please be advised that these versions may be abridged to comply with Character.AI's terms of service. This often entails censorship or alteration of the character's persona data, resulting in replicas that are primarily anime-inspired with more concise personalities.
The following features and upgrades are planned for the future development of this character database. This roadmap is subject to modification based on advancements in AI technology.
All character cards will be upgraded to the "Spec V2" format, a more robust and standardized specification for AI character definitions. This will ensure greater consistency and compatibility across different platforms that support this format.
Character-specific Low-Rank Adaptations (LORAs) will be developed to enforce and refine character personas at the model level. LORAs are a fine-tuning technique that allows for more consistent and accurate character representation by the AI model.
Comprehensive Lorebooks and World Information databases will be created for the characters. This will provide the AI with a deeper contextual understanding of the character's universe, leading to more immersive and informed interactions.
These characters are not released under a conventional open-source or commercial license. However, you are permitted to use them under the following conditions:
- Attribution: Credit must be given to Dracaerys (Dracaeryz on Github) as the original creator.
- No Unauthorized Redistribution: Modifying, redistributing, or claiming the contents of this repository as your own without explicit written permission from Dracaerys is strictly prohibited and will result in a DMCA takedown notice.
