This is a fix suggested by Eilene Tomkins-Flanagan. It fixes a problem whereby retrieving from DM using only ? could result in problems. So, the following syntax will now work without issues
DM.add('swiss')
DM.add('cheddar')
DM.request('?')
DMbuffer='?cheese'
