I added a test case, but even on the main branch, all but testInit are failing, I haven't looked closely at why.

I think i needed some of the test fixes that would come it with #13, so i rebased on top of that, but GitHub doesn't have good stack branch UX for forks so you would just want to merge that before this one. You can see a better representation of the changes at https://github.com/armcknight/git-kit/pull/5/checks
