This allows for specifying using a URI for the timeline to import instead of a posix path to a file readable by OTIO. When the URI uses a scheme other than "file", a request is sent to the data_source plugins to create and populate the timeline from the supplied URI.
This has been tested under MacOS within the context of a custom conformer plugin.
