Install

npm install -g hav

Usage

Usage: hav <selector> <value>

selectors

• .: class
• ^: html tag name (ex. ^pre for all <pre> elements)
• ~: html name (ex. ~usage for things like <p name="usage">)
• #: html tag id (default)

values

• outerhtml: outer html (default)
• html: inner html
• text: text content
• ...: any named attribute value on the element

# Pass a string as stdin and grab its link from the html
> hav link href <<< '<a id="link" href="hello/html" rel="greeting">link</a>'
hello/html

# Get the rel attribute instead of the href attribute
> hav link rel <<< '<a id="link" href="hello/html" rel="greeting">link</a>'
