How to add additional modules (like mcrypt)

In the php dockerhub image, we can do the following:

docker-php-ext-install -j$(nproc) iconv mcrypt \
&& docker-php-ext-configure gd --with-freetype-dir=/usr/include/ --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/include/ \
&& docker-php-ext-install -j$(nproc) gd

Is there a similar way in this base image to do the same as we need a zend application to have mcrypt installed.

That's an interesting and useful feature. If you manually add modules (either by compiling them or by using pear then you should also enable the extension using Zend Server's api:

FYI: iconv, mcrypt and gd come pre-installed with Zend Server and are also enabled by default.
