is it just me of the app invokes WatchFiles detected changes twice on a single save

on macos:
when i save a python file (no matter which)
i have to wait twice for:

I don't have this for macOS inside devcontainer. I suspect some macOS shenanigans.

It may be helpful to report to upstream since we're just using uvicorn directly.

Hi @AwMalka,

I can't run your example because '**\\*.pyc' is an invalid path on macOS:

ValueError: Invalid pattern: '**' can only be an entire path component

you can remove this line, as it to ignore pycache files

i will check if its due to norton antivirus
but i think this may be a bug, as if it is listening to on_file_access as well to on_file_change

I noticed problems with repeated reloading when working on a NiceGUI project inside a Dropbox folder. Maybe there is some other process watching the directory and writing (possibly hidden) files?

it is in my documents folder with is synced to icloud... it may be the reason, i will try moving it and test it again
i will keep you posted

@AwMalka if you like to edit your file in "working tree" display mode, for some reason about half the time it triggers double reload.

VSCode issue?

in my case it was because of icloud sync folder (Documents)
moved it to home directory and now only updates once
