Cleanups (node/npm) section is unclear (or incomplete?)

The section here:

doesn't actually explain how to do a cleanup.

I'm not sure if it's implying that to clean things up one should simply delete some or all of the directories mentioned?

But then I'm not sure if doing that would remove everything including the actual Node/npm/xpm tools as well as previously downloaded artifacts/packages and other settings etc.?

You are right, the page does not explicitly mentions removing those folders.
