Description
Hi Wave team,
I'm using Wave Terminal on Windows 11 Pro (local sessions on JC-WorkLaptop\J.C. Fischer). Each terminal block shows a blockID<…> in the header. When I click it, it becomes editable, but if I change it to a custom label, the terminal disconnects from the session.
From the behavior, it seems this field is the actual connection/session spec, not just a display name, so editing it causes a reconnect attempt and failure.
Feature request:
Could you add a separate, user-editable block title / nickname field that:
- Appears in the block header (instead of or in addition to blockID<…>),
- Is purely cosmetic and does not affect the session spec/connection,
- Can be renamed via double-click or a "Rename Block" menu item?
This would make it much easier to distinguish multiple local terminals (e.g., "Build", "Logs", "Experiments") without risking a disconnect.
Thanks for considering it!
