For some displays, for example the 13.3in eInk Spectra, WiringPi is recommend only for the Pi 5, which BCM2835 is recommended for all earlier devices including the Pi Zero 2. However BCM2835 crashes on the newest Bookworm OS, even on the Pi Zero 2.

The workaround is to install and use WiringPi.
