Project name saves as <<LAST_PROJECT>> on some apps

I have the macos wakatime app installed and for some apps(postman, xcode sim, warp, etc) the most recent project isn't being used as the project name. It would be great to have a simple selector or input box in the app for people to manually override this or something similar.

For Xcode, it should be able to detect the project from the focused file path same as other IDE extensions, so it doesn't need <<LAST_PROJECT>>. Anytime we have a file path, we never send <<LAST_PROJECT>> to match the behavior of other wakatime editor extensions. The only time we use <<LAST_PROJECT>> is when we can't detect a focused file path from the app, for ex: WhatsApp where there's never any opened file

yeah an input box would be really great

recently i've been working a lot with UTM and it sets my project as <<LAST_PROJECT>> (which is obviously wrong)
also some other apps like QT Creator and browsers (reading docs) would benefit from this

in the meantime is there any workaround?

One idea that comes to mind is a “Project Override” field in the app’s settings. It could allow users to manually specify the current project, and would ideally be set or cleared via the CLI as well (I still need to dig into the CLI functionality myself, to make sure this is feasible as I haven't played with it yet).

That said, I do see potential downsides. If someone forgets to update or clear the override when switching projects, it could lead to inaccurate tracking — which might end up being more frustrating than helpful, especially for users who jump between projects frequently. (It's me, I'm users...)

This seems like an intruguing feature to work on (I'm learning swift atm). I'd be interested in working on this if even only for practice... Any thoughts on the concerns I have? I'll keep thinking about it and take this up in the meantime for fun.
