Hmm, my best guess it that it's some kind of caching from before the new update, are you building from source or are you using the automatic build from Github?

I have been using the binary from github and copying it to the /Applications folder, then running xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Mactrix.app/ to run the unsigned code.

I have been running mactrix from before the app had an excellent icon, so perhaps a fresh install would use the correct icon.
