Description
I’ve been using VeraCrypt for a few years, but I have never seen a similar error.
Previously, I used a flash drive, but now I bought an NVMe for faster performance.
Expected behavior
Successfully format the disk and create a new encrypted volume.
Observed behavior
Can’t format and see the problem: “Read-only file system” - “VeraCrypt::File::Write:395”.
Steps to reproduce
- Encrypt a non-system partition/drive
- Standart VeraCrypt volume
- Select a Partition or Device
- Encryption algorithm: AES with hash: SHA-512.
- Large Files -> YES
- Filesystem Mac OS Extended and also try APFS
- I will mount the volume only on Mac OS X and also try Cross platform
- Click “Format,” wait 5 seconds, and see the error: “Read-only file system - VeraCrypt::File::Write:395.”
