Data-Driven Testing with Bruno Free Edition — any workarounds for multi-case JSON/CSV iterations without Pro

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using Bruno (free/open-source edition) to run API collections. My scenario: I have roughly 1000 APIs and I’d like to execute each API with multiple test data sets(e.g., JSON/CSV input files), and use {{variable}} placeholders in request bodies, headers, etc., to reuse variables across tests.

However, I noticed that the “Import Data File / Run with Parameters” feature appears to be locked behind the Pro/paid edition (or otherwise unclear in the free edition). I have tried the following:

• Created a JSON file like:
  [
  { "userId": "101", "name": "Tom" },
  { "userId": "102", "name": "Jerry" }
  ]
