I'm not sure how we can know when a session is over (ie the user logged out). On freenode we can ask nickserv who a given user is logged into services as by using the command /msg nickserv acc [nick]

When in doubt, look at what supybot does. Apparently it tracks hostmasks, and you can add new ones to a user.

A basic demo of a possible system for profile/permissions has been put in main. It's not completed but see what you think of the layout.
