It seems that the COCO conversion method is superseded by methods here. Yet, this repo is the top google result when searching for "coco to yolo converter". Please deprecate the coco to yolo methods in this repository and direct users to the appropriate methods in the ultralytics repository.

@csbrown thank you for your suggestion. The COCO to YOLO methods in the repository are currently maintained for compatibility, but we encourage users to utilize the updated and recommended data conversion tools documented here. We will review the proposal to deprecate these methods and update documentation or references accordingly to guide users toward the latest tools.

Thanks @csbrown. The standalone repository is now explicitly deprecated in the README via PR #122, with users directed to the maintained converter in ultralytics.data.converter. The legacy scripts remain here for compatibility, but new work should use the main package.
