Strange typed vector array repr

v1 = PVector(10,20)
print v1.array()

returns:

array('f', [10.0, 20.0])

B/c Processing is a Java library its arrays are represented in Python as type array.
PVector's fields x, y & z are of primitive datatype float btW.
