Adding applications

Would you be comfortable adding to your distributive applications on FLTK:

• Text editor
• Folder scanner

I assume you are speaking of editor and fluff, both of which are in the repos here.

What exactly are you proposing?

• First of all, I want to ask if it is even possible to add these programs to your live-cd?
• Secondly, is there any benefit to your project in adding applications on FLTK?
• And finally, since you are the last major project using FLTK (NanoLinux, Equinox DE) is there any benefit for you to merge projects on FLTK?

No. The CDs are intended to get you started. As such, we try to include the minimum
required to get you there and keep the size as small as possible.

Both the TinyCore and TinyCorePure64 ISOs contain a GUI based editor called editor.
It's a good choice for editing scripts and config files. The menu lets you enable word
wrap if long lines bother you and line numbers in case an error message flags a line
number that contains an error.

A folder scanner is not required to get a system up and running.

Unlike other distros, we do not include web browsers, spreadsheets, music players,
games, video players, etc. You can install those from our repository once you are
up and running.
