[6.x] Combobox performance

Bug description

The select takes quite a while to open. It get's worse when you instantly try to type in it as well. I am sure this is due to the amount of options listed, but it already has been working better in a prior beta.

It can definitely be improved, but just in case its cropped by the video - if you have devtools open, many components run much slower.
