Host the web version on the website?

I'm also not sure how much value this would bring, since anyone can just download the exe and run locally. But it would be kinda cool.

I use the web version from time to time - on Android when I am away from a computer - to either show SolveSpace to someone or to open a .slvs file (usually posted on the forum). So it would be nice to have an "official" place where it is hosted.

If the CI/CD could push bleeding edge versions straight to the web that would be awesome. Since it's still "experimental" I think expectations should be lower and we are pretty good at keeping master functional most of the time.

The website is a VPS behind free Cloudflare, so any static content adds zero dollar cost and negligible performance cost (since it's cached). So that sounds totally good to me.

The CI already builds the web version. Here is the latest one as an example

And the latest build should always be available in a link similar to the ones we use for the edge builds in the readme. I.e.
https://nightly.link/solvespace/solvespace/workflows/cd/master/solvespace_web.zip

Hosting it requires simply unzipping it in some directory on the site (and putting the URL to it somewhere).

But how to allow the CD.yml to trigger/do the upload to the web site I have no idea.

It's lazy and wasteful, but I could just poll the nightly.link URL hourly? If nobody has a better idea then I might just do that this weekend. If there's a good way to make an https request to solvespace.com from the CI/CD then I could also trigger from that.

Should be very easy. Can you make the web site notice e.g. "https://solvespace.com/index.pl?HiJWesthuesNewWebVersion" (my web skillZ are "amazing" :-) )

As an experiment I modified cd.yml on my fork to access https://solvespace.com/index.pl?HiJWesthuesNewWebVersion

The workflow ran and accessed the URL.
