Wrong error message for "year" field

I'm getting:

Entry 'DT-seine-maritime' of type 'book' failed verification:
  ❌ Invariant Violations:
    - Entry 'DT-seine-maritime' misses the following required fields: [year]

This is not correct. If "date" is present (which it is), then "year" is not required.

What kind of ruleset are you using? The default IEEEtr as well as IEEEtran do not render the date field.

I tried the following refs.bib snippet:

  language = {bookWithDate language},
  edition = {bookWithDate edition},
  series = {bookWitDate series},

So, in my view, it should be correct that the linter complains about the missing year, since otherwise this information is missing in your compiled document. Am I overlooking something?
