Problem making Giggle

I am trying to install Giggle in Ubuntu 24.04 and I follow the instructions: I install the dependencies, I clone the git and change to the new directory, but when I try to do "make", I get the following error:

configure.ac: error: required file 'config.sub' not found
configure.ac: error: required file 'config.guess' not found
configure.ac:   try running autoreconf --install
cd lib/htslib; ./configure --disable-bz2 --disable-lzma --enable-libcurl
configure: error: cannot find required auxiliary files: config.guess config.sub
make: *** [Makefile:11: htslib] Error 1

Has this issue been previuosly reported?

I have the same problem, and I'm interested if anyone has a solution for that.
