number.sofar_desired_power on HYD-6000-EP is broken #47

Description

Hello,

I updated my Docker image after previously working on the ongrid value issue in 3.1.1, which had been stable for me.

After updating to the latest version, I noticed major regressions on my HYD-6000-EP.

Affected entities:

  • sensor.sofar_state
  • number.sofar_desired_power

Observed behavior on latest:

  • sensor.sofar_state became unknown
  • number.sofar_desired_power is no longer functional / not responding

I tested multiple versions and narrowed the regression down to 4.0.2 and later.

I was not able to consistently reproduce the sensor.sofar_state issue afterward, so that one may need more investigation.

The number.sofar_desired_power issue, however, is reproducible. Of course, I switch to passive mode to make it effective, but changing the value still has no effect.

Please let me know what logs, debug output, MQTT topics/payloads, or additional details would be most useful for troubleshooting.

Some logs where I remove the Modbus requests spam and kept (I hope) some interesting data:
