Documentation contains duplicate references to class members and methods

One is typed, one is not. This may be an artifact from the better-docs/typescript plugin.

The jsdoc theme we use appears to be entirely unmaintained. There have been no commits in a year, and open PRs appear untouched.

I currently see two possible paths forward:

• attempt to find a different jsdoc theme
• use jsdoc to markdown and just have our documentation be autogenerated markdown files.
