dwr stops with "jq: error"

I get following error when executing the script

jq: error (at <stdin>:0): null (null) cannot be matched, as it is not a string

My quick workaround:

gh api -X DELETE "/repos/$repo/actions/runs/$id" || true

This leads to following output:
