Allow hinges in box plots

this can make sense for halved box plots singe the whisker can disappear in the base of a composed half-violin

Should the hinges be absolute sized like the range hinges or follow the width?

As long as it is consistent between the two. My reasoning at the time I made hinges for range was that it doesn't encode data and absolute hinges make it easier to make the hinges uniform looking across visualisations. The only reason I see to make them relative is because of ggplot2 heritage.
